Answered Prayers

Today, hubs and I got the best news ever! Hubs came home and told me that our realtor(my cousin) had called and had some news for us. THE BANK SAID GO!!! :) We close within 30 days on our house! We cannot wait! I am so ready to get much, much more space to play with and a place to make my own! This also means so many more things like:

A dog soon.

A garage.
A christmas tree( A BIG ONE!).

Christmas lights.
A place for friends & family to come and hang out.
Eventually a king size bed.
Eventually a family.
A garden(in the spring).

There are just so many happy possibilities that come along with this house! We will finally be able to have all of our stuff unpacked and out and enjoy the space. Hubs will finally have a place to take care of and a garage to change oil in! Anyways, as you can tell we are so excited!

I am so grateful for all the prayers that anyone might have said for us. I will have pictures and updates sometime soon! AND a party once the house is all ready for friends!

AHHHHHHH! EXCITED!!!!

Fall wreath

My sister in law made an adorable burlap wreath for her door so I searched pinterest for a similar idea. I found it!!! I was so happy to learn how and find out how stinking easy it was going to be to make my own. So I ran to the fabric store and bought some burlap( which has now become my favorite fabric for decor), a straw wreath, and some push pins. Within an hour I had a look alike! I was thrilled but I still felt like it was missing something so I headed back to the craft store and found some awesome fall ball/ string thing. PERFECT!! Last night I finally got the whole project put together. If you wanna know how just let me know and I will direct you to the pin on pinterest! Happy fall!!!

Getting the hang of it

I am posting within 7 days of the last post- GASP! I am really, really trying to be better about this blog thing.

Today's blog topics, two of my all time favorite things: family and pinterest. I mean, who does not love both of those and if you have NO IDEA what pinterest is then I say you google it and find out- especially if you are the blogging type! It will rock your world!

Family:
I got to spend a good amount of time with some family that I had not seen in a while. When I first went to school at USU my roommate was my cousin, Alisa. We lived together for at least 2 years and if we were not living together, then we were finding some way to hang out. Even after she got married and had her baby, we would see each other every now and again to "play." (That is what we would call it- goofy, I know.) Anyways, a year ago or so she and her hubby(my buddy) moved to Idaho falls and ran away from everyone so that he could start his internship. Great things for them- bad things for me and my play buddies. BUMMER! So, after much awaited time and moving(once for us, again for them) we now live a wee bit closer to each other AND as a added bonus, I live so close to her momma and dad that she drives up to see them. KA-CHING!

So, she invited me to a relief society activity that her momma was a part of and I definitely agreed. It gave me some time away from our dinky apartment(want that house SOOO BAD right now!) and it gave her some girly adult time away from her baby(now 1&1/2).  We felt a little out of place at this event, seeing as how neither of us were actually in that relief society(but church is home anywhere, right?) that we kinda just stuck to each other and had some good chats. I felt like she needed to talk and somewhat vent. And she did. It was really great to hear what she had to say, though, because it hit me hard. When she first got married, I told her that she COULD NOT get prego or I would tell her to take the baby back(impossible, I know). Well, shortly after marriage, baby was on her way to their family. I should have known. Now, after our conversation, I completely understand. Heavenly Father has unique ways of telling people what they need to do with their lives. For her and her hubs, it was have baby NOW! From her story, she fought against this yearning hard-core until she knew that she had to do what she was told.

Her whole story got me thinking about my life with my husband and our life plans. I have always planned to wait for as long as I felt was right in order to have children and I still feel that way. Currently, my life is not saying have a child. ( A puppy when we have a house, yes, but not a baby.) I am pretty sure that Heavenly Father knows that currently, we(hubs and I) are not ready, so to speak. We have more preparing to do in our lives before baby 1 can come along. Mainly, we want to be somewhat settled and be stable in our situation. I am sure that when the time comes along, then we will know. But, I really appreciated that time out of the apartment, with my favorite cousin so that we could talk and I could be more understanding.

PINTEREST:
I mean really? You just have to head on over to find out for yourself. The funniest part about me being HORRIBLE at blogging is that I am super great at finding blogs with cool stuff so that I can "pin" it! I love searching for cool ideas, projects, or recipes and I use pinterest as an online posting site to hold all of my ideas. It is sure handy, too, because if I have NO IDEA what to cook then I can pop up the app on my phone and dig up a delicious dish in seconds. It has honestly got the be the facebook of craftiness or homemaking.

Lastly, no news on house yet, we should find out on Wednesday so keep praying for us and hopefully I will have a pleasant thing to post about near wednesday. One can only hope!

P.s. I need to take more pictures of my adventures. WHOOPS!

Pathetic

Uh, long story short, I am pathetic at blogging. Ever since summer started, I found pinterest, and we moved- I have yet to update everyone or post ANYTHING. Hopefully, soon, I can figure it out and use this blog for an outlet of things I love. Whether that be crafts, clothes, people, etc.

Anyways, I do spend quite a bit of time reading everyone else's blogs and think, hmmm, maybe I should try a little harder and that feeling lasts for 10 minutes before I move on to the next giant thought in my brain.

But, let me update you on what has been happening in our lives since I last posted. Obviously, the niece turned one(she didn't quite know what to do with the cake at first- silly girl!) and...

the nephew turned 4(here he is at sister's birthday)! Crazy!! I love 'em!

Dane got a job down in Kaysville, UT teaching Drafting and intro to engineering technology at Davis High. He loves it! He likes to say that at the end of the day, he cannot believe that he is being paid to do what he loves! :) My thoughts, I am loving this real paycheck he gets. ;)

I transferred on down to wiener, I mean weber state. I am super close to finishing a Microbiology degree. I have pre-req's for Dental Hygiene but I might just do Medical Microbiology. We're keeping it in our prayers. We pretty much spend every little second of our weekends up in Logan(as long as I am not working). Fall is a very busy time in Cache valley and we don't want to miss a thing! Plus, I love football, hockey, and my family too much!

The biggest news of all is that we put in an offer on a house a couple months back and should hear by next wednesday if it will be ours! SO PRAY FOR US! We have been patiently waiting and are ready to move out of this 2 bed teeny tiny apartment and into a home of our own, where dane can be reunited with his jeep. haha.

Other than the IOS5 coming out tomorrow, there is not really too much else to tell ya about for now. So, any who do end up reading this, feel free to push me on Facebook or wherever else into posting HERE! I need to push!

How is it that I just waltzed right on past 9 months of marriage and completely missed the fact to point it out?!? It was 3 days ago and I missed it. Wow. How ridiculous. Guess the big ones are the ones that count now. And that's fine.

So new stuff for my life--my friends keep getting married or prego or having kids or engaged and I LOVE IT! As long as I can be the happy friend and not the prego one! Puppies work for me! Anywho. This reminds me that my niece(SUPER ADORABLE)...
See?! :) Well she will be turning 1 in under a month! I cannot even believe that she is that old or that she could be walking, etc. etc. BUT, her mommy is throwing her a polka dot party and needs some ideas so anyone with some awesome ideas just let me know and i can pass them on!!!

So, we might be moving as well- which is a big deal for Dane since he LOVES Cache Valley and wants to be here forever. *Not me* But we might be heading south, to better schools, to better shopping, closer to friends. Away from family is the downside. I totally will miss being so close to my Aunt but sometimes you gotta go where it's best for ya.

Anyways---any ideas on the party are definitely appreciated!! Love you to all!

Failure

Well, the title kinda makes it sound really sad. It's not a sad post- promise!
Just wanted to name it that due to the fact that I have not written any sort of post for three months. Geeze. I guess it has been a busy three months if I skipped out on writing anything.

I have a new job- I am not sure if I would have stated that previously, but I do.
It's at Sam's club- in the cafe. I was SOOOOO happy to quit the other job. It was seriously a buzz kill to walk into that place everyday and know that I was helping an organization screw people over. Pardon my bluntness.

Anyways- Dane is done with student teaching in a month & hopes are high for him to find a good job so that I can just focus on school again. It's not been too rough of a semester, though one class just enjoys to kick my butt. It happens.

I wish I had picture to post of awesome things but it seems like my photo abilities have temporarily been set aside while I do the school and work thing. So photos coming soon? :)

So I will set two goals- one: write more posts. two: take more pictures.

P.s. Today marks our five monthiversary. Weird. But great! :)
