I am posting within 7 days of the last post- GASP! I am really, really trying to be better about this blog thing.
Today's blog topics, two of my all time favorite things: family and pinterest. I mean, who does not love both of those and if you have NO IDEA what pinterest is then I say you google it and find out- especially if you are the blogging type! It will rock your world!
Family:
I got to spend a good amount of time with some family that I had not seen in a while. When I first went to school at USU my roommate was my cousin, Alisa. We lived together for at least 2 years and if we were not living together, then we were finding some way to hang out. Even after she got married and had her baby, we would see each other every now and again to "play." (That is what we would call it- goofy, I know.) Anyways, a year ago or so she and her hubby(my buddy) moved to Idaho falls and ran away from everyone so that he could start his internship. Great things for them- bad things for me and my play buddies. BUMMER! So, after much awaited time and moving(once for us, again for them) we now live a wee bit closer to each other AND as a added bonus, I live so close to her momma and dad that she drives up to see them. KA-CHING!
So, she invited me to a relief society activity that her momma was a part of and I definitely agreed. It gave me some time away from our dinky apartment(want that house SOOO BAD right now!) and it gave her some girly adult time away from her baby(now 1&1/2). We felt a little out of place at this event, seeing as how neither of us were actually in that relief society(but church is home anywhere, right?) that we kinda just stuck to each other and had some good chats. I felt like she needed to talk and somewhat vent. And she did. It was really great to hear what she had to say, though, because it hit me hard. When she first got married, I told her that she COULD NOT get prego or I would tell her to take the baby back(impossible, I know). Well, shortly after marriage, baby was on her way to their family. I should have known. Now, after our conversation, I completely understand. Heavenly Father has unique ways of telling people what they need to do with their lives. For her and her hubs, it was have baby NOW! From her story, she fought against this yearning hard-core until she knew that she had to do what she was told.
Her whole story got me thinking about my life with my husband and our life plans. I have always planned to wait for as long as I felt was right in order to have children and I still feel that way. Currently, my life is not saying have a child. ( A puppy when we have a house, yes, but not a baby.) I am pretty sure that Heavenly Father knows that currently, we(hubs and I) are not ready, so to speak. We have more preparing to do in our lives before baby 1 can come along. Mainly, we want to be somewhat settled and be stable in our situation. I am sure that when the time comes along, then we will know. But, I really appreciated that time out of the apartment, with my favorite cousin so that we could talk and I could be more understanding.
PINTEREST:
I mean really? You just have to head on over to find out for yourself. The funniest part about me being HORRIBLE at blogging is that I am super great at finding blogs with cool stuff so that I can "pin" it! I love searching for cool ideas, projects, or recipes and I use pinterest as an online posting site to hold all of my ideas. It is sure handy, too, because if I have NO IDEA what to cook then I can pop up the app on my phone and dig up a delicious dish in seconds. It has honestly got the be the facebook of craftiness or homemaking.
Lastly, no news on house yet, we should find out on Wednesday so keep praying for us and hopefully I will have a pleasant thing to post about near wednesday. One can only hope!
P.s. I need to take more pictures of my adventures. WHOOPS!
